No account managers, no hand-offs, no mystery. You work directly with the person making your stuff — start to finish.
Boyfriend Creative started where most good things in hospo do — at a café, doing a mate's menu for the price of a coffee.
Six years on, it's a one-person studio working out of a sunny room in Brisbane, making social, EDMs and point-of-sale for cafés, bars, bottle shops and the small brands that keep a neighbourhood interesting.
The whole model is built around being easy to work with. You text the campaign, you get a flat quote, the work shows up on time. No retainers you can't read, no jargon, no six-week onboarding. Just someone who knows your venue's name and has the artwork ready by Friday.
We're small on purpose — so the work stays sharp, personal, and unmistakably yours.
If it doesn't make someone stop, it doesn't go out. Beautiful is the baseline, not the goal.
You talk to the maker, every time. No layers, no telephone, no lost-in-translation.
We think in print — texture, contrast, a tight palette. It reads louder in a busy feed.
You know what's coming and what it costs before we start. Friday means Friday.
We back the venues that make a neighbourhood worth living in. Hospo is home turf.
The work should look like your place — not like a template, and not like ours.
Tell us about your venue and what's coming up. We'll come back with a plan and a flat quote — usually same day.
